The story is engaging and easy to follow, with a solid pace and enough twists to keep you curious about what’s coming next. The concept of solving ghost-related cases adds a unique touch that sets it apart from typical mystery stories.
The characters are likable and bring a good balance of serious moments and lighter interactions, which makes the listening experience even more enjoyable.
Some parts are a bit predictable, but it doesn’t take away from the overall enjoyment.
Overall, this is a fun and entertaining listen. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys mysteries with a supernatural twist.
Great mix of mystery and the supernatural

While the "salted fish and chips" murder method was an ingenious display of chemistry, the plot’s execution felt a bit uneven. The initial medical negligence that kicks off the story felt overly forced, and I was disappointed by the lack of closure for Charlie’s son, Edward, which left an unnecessary sense of abandonment. Furthermore, the Ghost Council and the faceless rebel ghosts could have used more development to feel like a grounded part of the world rather than mere plot devices. Despite these flaws, the creative intersection of the physical and incorporeal—like trying to trap a ghost in a commercial freezer—makes for a unique and highly engaging read that breathes fresh life into the genre.
