Gwendafyn is slowly suffocating.

The former Crown Prince of the human country of Calnor, Benjimir’s disinheritance has permanently altered his future and place in court. It gets worse.

He is forced to watch as the woman he has secretly loved his whole life narrows down her marriage prospects. He may ordinarily revel in his own ruthlessness, but this feels like his heart is dying.

Gwendafyn is given a chance to flee the role that has ensnared her when she realizes there is one escape that not even her family traditions can prevent: marriage to a human from Calnor. With most humans and elves unable to speak the same language, her options are limited. She starts to lose hope when the human translators only see her title and treat her with fear and awe. Yet there is one other human who can speak the language of the elves: the scorned Prince Benjimir.

But Gwendafyn isn’t that desperate. At least not yet. It starts as a marriage of convenience and an opportunity to strengthen the bond between their two peoples. But what if it could become something more?

my favorite couple

it is so hard to decide which of the Lesser elves books are my favriote but I was litterally squealing and kicking my feet the first time I read the confess love scene and this just brought it to life so well!

Narration was perfect

This is my favorite book in this series. Arranged marriage? Bad boy reformed? Yes, please. The narrators perfectly captured Fyn’s and Ben’s characters and personalities. I especially loved Ben’s narration.

Really loving the audio books for this series and can’t wait for the next to drop.

A great romantasy!

Lightly cheesy and awesome! I enjoyed the first book in this series, but this one is WAY better. It’s funny and sweet and greatly entertaining. I liked both MCs and their relationship, despite the FMC becoming excessively dense at the end. The story is light, but has enough action for a steady and swift pace. Just a great read.

Content:
There is no foul language or sex, and the violence is minimal. The romance is limited to lightly descriptive kisses. There is magic. There is no mention of faith or God.

I have been hoping to be able to listen to this book on audiobook for years and I was excited to see it happen! I know a ton of work goes into making them and I wasn’t disappointed. It was beautiful to revisit Ben and Fyn’s story and I can’t wait to listen again and again just like I have done with book one. The narrator’s did a fantastic job of bringing this story to life and making it enjoyable to listen to! Thank you!

Interaction between Prince Benjamin and Princess Gwenafyr

I loved the characters and the story line. I really enjoyed this series. KM Shea is an excellent author.
