Beautifully Angsty

There are only a handful of authors that after listening /reading their book, I take in a long breath, exhale, and feel at peace. There’s something about Jennifer Hartman’s prose in this heart stretching stand-alone that’s pure poetry.
From the whimsical heartfelt lyrics that reach and touch your soul, to vivid descriptions that evoke the most visceral emotions, I’m left in a state of hangover from one hell of a ride.
Dual Narration on point, especially with the distinct voices used for recurring auxiliary characters.

I saw a comment on another review that said this book is like Drive meets A Love Letter to Whiskey, and that couldn’t be a more accurate description of this book. Both of those books are on my top favorite list, and now this one is too.

This is raw and real and emotional. The prose is lyrical and poetic. You feel every emotion Chase and Annalise go through. And boy, do they go through the gamut.

This book takes you on a journey filled with longing, angst, pain, healing, and love, all backed by a beautiful soundtrack. If you like rockstar romances, this is one you cannot skip.

My best read of the year

There were times when I threw my book. I read and listened when I couldn’t sit down. The FMC really went through it and I was angry on her behalf through a majority of the story. I absolutely adore Chase. I hope we get a book 2 with Tag.
If you love angsty rock star ish romance. Take the time to listen to this. Angelina Rocca is absolute perfection . Her voice fits the character to a T.
Austin stone pulled off all the characters flawlessly and made each one their own. Worth 2 credits or even more. Bravo! This will be a book I reread many times.
