Very interesting individual.

This was a complex story. Key points in this story have been refuted since the Colonel’s publishing his diary’s. Often with less evidence than provided in the original account. Sometimes with damning evidence. He was a very interesting character.

Author loves to talk about himself. The stories about Meinertzhagen's life are interesting though.

The author interrupts the narrative to talk (brag mostly) about himself far too often and it adds nothing to the story.
