Romance writer Bronte Huntington lives in the beautiful village of Nettle Wood. She spends her days crafting perfect happy endings for the heroines in her books. But really, she’s waiting for her own Prince Charming to sweep her off her feet.

Her new neighbour, Ryan, seems lovely. He’s down to earth, he makes her laugh and he has a gorgeous Irish accent . . . But it seems they’re fated to just be friends.

Then Bronte meets aristocratic Sebastian Fairfax. As charming and handsome as the heroes in her novels, he’s everything she’s ever dreamed of.

But if he’s the one, why is he so hard to talk to? And could she ever get along with his rude, posh parents?

Bronte must choose her own destiny to find her perfect hero. But as she’s about to find out, the path to true love is never simple.

I’m having a hard time getting through this one because the main female character is awful! She was so superficial and downright jerky to Ryan. The character of Ryan deserves a different love interest and in that vein he should have moved on to more decent person. I actually would have been happier if he moved on and this was a book of caution towards being too judgmental and close minded.

Can’t stand the main female character

I like it because it was unusual and no sex but still a loving story

If you like fairy tales this is a good one. I kept wanting to love it but couldn’t get past Brontë the protagonist and how dumb she appeared to be. It took her way too long to figure out her feelings. It was easy to figure out where the story was going and where it would end. Just like an old-fashioned fairy tale. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it wholeheartedly because it became wearying as Brontë was stuck in a dream world and it dragged on and on! I was happy when it ended.

Romantic and sweet but a bit trite

Very good story, the heroine has high expectations based on fantasy wishes that do not relate to real life and has to come to that realization. Loved it.

Great story

Love it when the pets can spot a heal before the main character. Excellent narration kept me engaged despite the childish main character that lives in a fairytale. Looks do not make the man. So grateful for the kind, engaging and romantic neighbor.
