Mrs. Bennet fled from Longbourn with her lover and Jane two months after Elizabeth was born, leaving little Elizabeth behind with Mr. Bennet.

Mr. Bennet dedicated his life to raising Elizabeth the best he could. Mr. Bennet had loved Elizabeth dearly from the first time he picked his little girl up and she smiled her baby smile at him, and grabbed at his sideburns. When Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy arrive in the neighborhood, Elizabeth finds herself falling in love with Mr. Darcy. He makes her heart flutter, and he respects her like nobody but her father respects her.

What will happen when Elizabeth’s long departed mother returns to Meryton after being absent for twenty years?

A heartwarming and romantic novel about family, love and forgiveness.

I love the change in the story with my 2 favorite narrators! I’ll be listening to this again and again thru the years!

Excellent P & P Var. with best narration duo

I really enjoyed this story. A very different type of story. Mr and mrs Bennet are divorced. Jane grew up with her mama and her new husband. Elizabeth grew up with mr Bennet. Great jaff.

Great book

it is very unfortunate that this was recorded in some way that makes Stevie Zimmerman's voice always sound as if it's in some sort of echo chamber but definitely not in the same place with the other characters.

it's just so very distracting to know that every time Elizabeth speaks is going to sound very disjointed. I just really think that this could have been avoided somehow.

only one off putting Factor

This performance was excellent and the book is also good. I realized that I had read this book when I recognized the scene wherein Mr Bennet learns his wife is being less than faithful. I liked the characterization of Bennet, Darcy and Elizabeth in this variation. They all three were portrayed as mature and thoughtful. I thought Bingley made a rather abrupt about face in terms of maturity and I am left feeling that he is rather shallow. Lydia, in this variation, was interesting. She still is “lively” but she actually has something between her ears and is not silly. Jane is the cypher she always is. I have to say that Mrs (Bennet) Yates is still a dirt bag. She isn’t fluttery but she is still self-centered. Her insistence on Elizabeth’s parentage is mean spirited and serves only herself at the expense of causing two people pain. She is also still quit talented at rewriting history. All in all, I very much enjoyed this audiobook.

If you like slow burns, this is the one for you. Especially with Harry and Stevie narrating. Can’t go wrong. Elizabeth had me wanting to box her ears sometimes. Lashing out and behaving like an adolescent. Darcy being noble. Took him a while lol. Mr B is excellent here. No Kitty or Mary here. Quick change Bingley. Nice variation.
