Confessions of an Indie Author: A Collection of Struggles, Missteps, and Complaints follows the heroic and frequently unhinged journey of indie author David Corbin as he hurtles through the wild world of publishing his first two books: The Last Save: Paradox 5200 and The Last Save: Paradox Echo.
This unfiltered adventure pulls back the curtain on the entire self-publishing process, blending hard-earned knowledge, useful resources, and brutally honest confessions along the way. Expect surprise trigger warnings sprinkled throughout, emotional whiplash, and a hero who will try to make you laugh, might make you cry, but absolutely wants to help every new indie author survive the chaos.
This audiobook is definitely not for children, contains a heroic amount of profanity, and may or may not summon something with the sheer volume of swearing alone. Buckle up, enjoy the ride, and, if all goes according to plan, learn something along the way.

I absolutely love how he approaches controversial views with a humor that also brings to light some fears that new indies face once they learn about them. As a new Author myself, David's unapologetic writing felt like I was hearing someone give voice to the same struggles, thoughts, and frustrations I carried on my journey.
If you are a new Indie Author, Veteran Indie Author, or are considering becoming an Indie Author, this book is an absolute MUST.
If you've felt alone, or been curious about what it is like as an Indie Author, DO NOT miss out on this book!!

This book has been a refreshing experience to be honest. Realistic and relatable, funny and emotional, all while giving helpful information. It made me feel better and more confident in this self publishing journey I've started. I highly recommend it (if you're not easily offended) and would appreciate a raw and honest walk through of another Indie Author's journey that might help you or someone you know in the long run, especially if you're like me and haven't published anything yet, but are planning to very soon.
I also recommend listening on Audible, because he's hilarious and relatable and you'll feel how much he cares about what he's written.
He lists resources for Indie Authors and people on "the Tok" that will help and be about helping, not just trying to get likes and followers.
I personally feel like every Indie Author, new or veteran, should give this a look.
Raw honesty about an Indie Author's journey.
