Great as always. I like the old ones.

I really like her older books. Full of romance as well as some suspense and comedy.

An excellent book and narration

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The narration really added something to the story. Amanda Quick is one of my favorite authors.

Brings me back!

This is one of the earliest romance books and OG romance author that I would read in my late teens. Amanda quick’s prose is so good, and I love the narrator for this book. I can’t wait for the books ravished and rendezvous to come out as audiobooks. Literally just such a good romance book. Her characters are pretty similar from book to book (at least for her earlier romance books), but I always love the premise and I always love the characters. The FMC is usually a quirky, not exceptionally beautiful, but very smart, very sweet, and very innocent that melts the MMC’s hard interior/exterior; and the MMC is usually a very brooding, severe rich man that only shows love and affection to the FMC type of vibe. I love that vibe. If you’ve never read an Amanda Quick book, this is one of the ones to start with. Spice is there, yet tame, but oh the romance! So worth it!!

One of my favorite works of Amanda Quick!

Scandal is an absolutely delightful and entertaining historical romance, in which all of MMC's revenge schemes morph into acts of philanthropy owing to the FMC's indomitable romantic spirit. Emily and Simon are classic Amanda Quick protagonists. I adore Emily and her fanciful approach to life. I love the dialogues and some of the scenes are so funny!

In the year 2026, I decided to revisit Amanda Quick's historical romance books. I discovered a lot of her older audiobooks are in the process of being re-recorded by a new narrator. I was apprehensive because I've been spoiled by Barbara Rosenblat's and Anne Flosnik's narration. I purchased Scandal, one of my favorite Amanda Quick's books. This is the first time I've listened to an audiobook performed by Kitty Windrow. Initially, most of the characters sounded similar. But the longer I listened, the narration improved and my ears adjusted to it. I don't have a lot of complaints except that I didn't like the FMC's voice. Nevertheless, I look forward to upcoming AQ audiobooks performed by this narrator.
