Super cute

This was super cute book. Loved the buildup of the romance. Nice age gap, ice queen story. Not as spicy as most of Winters other books. It’s about 2.5 on the spice scale. The ending was really good!

Bold Premise

It's not often one comes across the concept of a younger person so greatly influencing an older person. Especially when the elder is so entrenched in their mindset and riddled with pride and stubbornness. This book handles all of the awkward and uncomfortable moments experienced among all of the characters with great thought and tenderness. Do we even need to question if fate is real?

The Lee Winter’s story + Chelsea Stephens’s narration that made me stop mid-chore!

I already loved ‘When She Flies,’ having read it twice before, but revisiting Jasmine and Sienna’s story in audio felt like a whole new experience. Lee Winter really knows how to craft sharp, compelling stories and remarkable characters, and hearing them come to life added another layer to a story I already adore!

This was my first time listening to Chelsea Stephens, and she COMPLETELY blew me away!! Her performance, especially as Jasmine Gemayel, was impeccable. Knowing Jasmine was inspired by Shohreh Aghdashloo (one of my queens 🙂‍↕️) made it even better! I could vividly picture her in every scene because of how Stephens delivered the role!!

What really stood out, though, was how much Stephens elevated the emotional moments. That major “face-off” between Jasmine and Sienna caught me off guard! I was literally in the middle of doing laundry and had to stop just to hold back tears! And the scene where Sienna talks with her mother about her father hit just as hard! Even after already knowing the story, I still wasn’t prepared for how deeply it would affect me in audio form…

Chelsea Stephens didn’t just narrate this story — she brought out every emotion in it. So it’s really such a treat to discover her through this, and her narration made me fall in love with this Lee Winter romance all over again! 🥹🫶

This Author Never Disappoints With A Compelling Storyline And Main Characters!

I’ve enjoyed various engaging books by this author and she never disappoints! The well thought out evolving storyline was engaging and kept me interested. I love the fact that the storyline and main characters imagined by the author are very insightful. I enjoy the way this author builds up the characters and story that maintains my interest,. As opposed to ripping the clothes off before really getting knowing each other, like sapphic authors chose to do. The narration was very good, as well.
