Brittney Sahin
A brooding hero collides with the one woman who upends his control in this hate-to-love military romance by Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brittney Sahin.
Hollis Avery has always been untouchable. A woman who’s never needed saving—born into wealth, power, and a family history steeped in secrets.
Until she wakes up with no memory of who she is.
The only thing that feels familiar is Jason Reed, the Delta Force operator who insists they were never friends and nothing more than teammates. Guarded and closed off, Reed keeps his distance, even as Hollis can’t ignore the pull she feels toward him, or the way his gaze lingers like he’s already lost her once and refuses to survive it again.
While they work to uncover who took her memories and why, Hollis begins to change. Stripped of the armor that once defined her, she becomes open, trusting, and dangerously honest. And Reed finds himself falling for the woman behind the legend—the one he was never meant to touch but can’t stop wanting.
As pieces of Hollis’s past come to light, so do the truths Reed has kept buried—and the fear that what they’re building belongs only to the woman she is now.
Restoring her memories is the key to protecting the legacy she was born to defend. But with time running out and danger closing in, Hollis and Reed must choose what’s worth saving: her past…or the future neither of them was ever supposed to want.

Never the Same is the 3rd book of Delta Shield Security by Brittney Sahin. I have to say, this story was my favorite out of the three. Jason Reed and Hollis Avery have an interesting "relationship". In the previous books you could tell there was some love/hate, sexual tension brewing between these two. Well, this book it finally happened, it all came to light and made for a great story!
Jason is a Delta operative, retired from the Army, and a closed book. Hollis is a baddy in her own right. She has power, a great right hook(among many kick ass skills), money and family secrets. Jason and the other Delta Shield operatives team up with Hollis' family (along with MANY cameos from Falcon Falls Security, The Costa Family, Stealth Ops, and Dublin Nights), since Hollis goes missing and once they track her down, she has no memory of who she is or who they are. The only thing she does know is that she feels safe around Jason.
If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would! I highly recommend this story! I read this over 2 days, mostly because I had to sleep. But I didn't want to put it down. There were so many surprises and twists I didn't know what to expect next! All the cameos and then the possibility of a tease regarding her next book just did me in, I squealed each time someone was mentioned and I have my fingers crossed for who I think should be/will be in the next book!!
Brittney Sahin has done it again!! Well done!!
My favorite Delta operator ❤️😍

Finally...a book that didn't make me want to throw my headphones across the room.
This was a solid 4–4.5 star read. If you've read Brittney Sahin's earlier books, you'll probably notice that her writing has taken on a more Christian, faith-centered tone. As a Christian myself, I actually appreciated the shift. It was refreshing to read a romance that didn't feel like it needed to make explicit spice the centerpiece. Instead, the story was allowed to carry the book—and for me, it did.
The plot was a little far-fetched, but the dementia storyline really struck a chord. My mom has Alzheimer's, so anything involving memory loss hits differently. It left me hoping there are some incredibly smart people out there working toward better treatments—or even a cure.
I loved the grumpy hero, the powerhouse FMC, the family and found-family dynamics, and the character development. The narration was also excellent.
Overall, this was an easy recommendation for romantic suspense readers looking for a story that's driven more by the characters and the suspense than by what's happening in the bedroom.
Interesting plot and character development
