Regardless, she soon discovers the tournament is a tactical diversion in order to assassinate the king and conquer Verdae. Avianna is merely a pawn in this treacherous realm.

Lost in the beginning, but hang in there

The narrator was quite good and the production was clean. The only thing that bothered me was the sidetracking with the romance thing, not too graphic, but I guess that’s part of life.

If you like Kings and Queens and all of the political stuff in that realm, then this book is for you .
