Worth the read!

This is a high fantasy book that does have adult content in it. There are scenes that mention domestic and sexual abuse but does not go into detail on those. There are sexual acts but they are not overly graphic for example a male part is called his sword.

Overall I very much enjoyed this read as it was a bit lighter than other books I have read by this author. I felt like I got to know plenty about the important main characters and the role they played within the story. I also enjoyed that the two main characters had known each other since being very young and they had waited for each other to become strong before moving forward romantically. The descriptions were very well detailed and it added a nice touch to picturing the story as I read it. I highly recommend!

just not for me

This one was not for me. I wanted to enjoy this book, but it ended up being a DNF. The writing style felt painfully slow, making it difficult to stay engaged or build a real momentum. On top of that, the characters were hard to follow and not clearly developed, which made it tough to connect with the story or care about what was happening. Overall, it just didn't hold my interests and I found myself struggling to finish it.
