Loved this 5 book series.

Loved this 5 book series. Never a dull moment and the story line its self is one gigantic amazing adventure in a wonderfully created world with perfect character arcs. The three draw backs start and are mostly on book 4 where the author becomes so repetitive with things like “I can’t do A because B” and the s-x scenes are just one too many for me so I just fast forwarded. The last one SPOILER ALERT was that on two occasions where the main character could have fixed the bad situation… but it just didn’t happen so it makes you want to scream at the book. Why the author ignored the magic capacity of the main character is beyond me.

I enjoyed

I actually made it to the end of this series! I usually find myself fizzling out, but that was not the case with Flame and Thorns.
I couldn’t really tell you all that happened in this last one, but I felt good about the ending and that matters greatly to me.
I found myself rooting for the side characters more than the FMC & MMC, they are interesting and complex, whom I found myself caring for by the end.
It fell a little flat when a character was killed, just to be miraculously saved again, which is as repetitive as some of Selena’s inner monologue and the s*x scenes.

Overall, I would recommend this to another romantasy reader.

Last but not least! Laura Horowitz is an exceptional narrator and performer. Her storytelling is consistent, entertaining, and never a moment where I’m pulled from immersion… ok perhaps only when she says balls or f*** in a male voice. Which makes me laugh each time, but it’s a quirk I wouldn’t change.
Laura is what brought me to this series, and she is the reason that carried me to the end. Thank you.

Finally

Enjoyed the way they wrapped this series up. Great narration. Very fun series and characters.

The ending

I loved this entire series. This is for me after Acotar number 2 series for me! I loved how it all came together and how the characters got the ending they wanted! I loved the mental health healing, and knowing you are enough. You can overcome anything you set your mind too.

Never ending

I enjoyed this series my only dislike was Selena's repetitive monolog it drove crazy. it made the 5th book drag for me. overall I enjoyed the series.
