Beautifully written descriptions of French and Japanese cultures

I enjoyed the telling of the history from several different centuries and cultures especially since I had just returned from a trip to France and a tour of Monet’s garden and home. Character development was great. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!
