What happens when the youngest, most successful coach in the NHL comes face-to-face with the woman he never got over — only to find out she's married to his new General Manager?
Everything I've spent my life building is suddenly at risk.
I loved Ariana Ridley long before the world knew my name. Before the NHL. Before the pressure of being one of the youngest coaches in the league. Before I learned how to survive by locking my heart down tight.
Leaving her was the hardest thing I've ever done — and the one choice I never made peace with.
Now she's back.
And she belongs to another man.
My new General Manager.
I tell myself I can handle it. Discipline is my job. Control is my strength. I know how to keep my distance — how to respect the lines that should never be crossed.
But every glance drags the past to the surface. Every quiet moment reminds me the love I buried never died.
I see the cracks she tries to hide, the fear she's learned to live with, and the way she still looks at me like I'm the one place she can breathe.
I want to protect her.
I want to fight for her.
And I want things I have no right to want.
Because if I cross that line, I don't just risk my career — I risk shattering the woman I never stopped loving.
Some choices haunt us forever.
Some loves never let go.
And trying to right my wrongs might just ruin us both.

Right Your Wrongs is the final book in the Kings of the Ice series: a series of interconnected standalones following a team of professional hockey players and the women who bring them to their knees. They do not need to be listened to in order, but you will gain glimpses of future characters/couples in each book.

Kandi Steiner is the goddess of opening lines. “If a heart was tied to a person, mine was inextricably bound to her - and it stopped beating the day I left her behind.”
And that 👆right there folks, is the exact moment this book hooked me.
This book makes you truly feel! It is the kind of heartbreak that hollows you out. Two decades without your soulmate. All that time they missed out on, the memories they didn’t get to make, the children they’ll never have. It leaves an ache in your soul but it also gives you hope that the broken pieces could still grow into something new and you could still get your happily ever after.
It was a beautiful, satisfying story that brought heartfelt closure to all our favorite characters throughout this series. I’m really sad that it’s over but excited to see what adventure Kandi Steiner takes us on next.
This was my first time getting to hear Savannah Thomas narrate and she was absolutely fantastic!

HEA: Yes
Right Your Wrongs is an emotional, heavy-hitting hockey romance that leans into second chances, forbidden love, and the kind of connection that never truly fades. Kandi Steiner delivers a story that feels raw, layered, and deeply personal, balancing heartbreak with healing in a way that stays with you long after the final chapter.
This one stands out in the series for its tone. Where earlier books leaned more into steam and new romance, this story centers on soulmates who were torn apart and what happens when life throws them back together under impossible circumstances.
The Story
Before the NHL. Before the pressure. Before the walls went up.
There was Ariana.
The hero built his life on discipline and control, becoming one of the youngest and most successful coaches in the league. But none of that erased the one choice he never made peace with, walking away from the woman he loved.
Now she’s back. And she’s married. To his new General Manager.
What follows is a slow, emotionally charged unraveling told through a dual timeline, weaving past and present together. Flashbacks reveal the depth of their history, while the present forces them to navigate proximity, unresolved feelings, and a situation neither of them can escape.
Ariana’s story adds a powerful layer to the narrative. Her experience with domestic violence is portrayed with honesty and care, showing the complexity of her situation and how difficult it is to break free from manipulation and control. It is handled thoughtfully, without ever feeling exploitative.
Despite the heaviness, the story still makes space for warmth. Found family plays a strong role, offering moments of support, humor, and safety that balance the darker themes.
What I Loved
✔️ Emotional second-chance romance
✔️ Dual timeline that deepens the connection
✔️ Forbidden dynamic with real stakes
✔️ Thoughtful handling of domestic violence
✔️ Strong found family support system
✔️ Protective, deeply devoted MMC
The emotional connection between the characters is undeniable, especially through their shared history. You truly feel that they never stopped loving each other.
That said, the present-day relationship leans heavily on that past connection. I would have loved to see a bit more of their chemistry and bond actively rebuilt in the current timeline to fully match the intensity of their history.
🎧 Narration
Performed in duet by Savannah Thomas and Devon Braithwaite. Both narrators bring incredible emotional depth to the story.
Savannah Thomas captures Ariana’s vulnerability, strength, and internal struggle beautifully. You can feel every layer of her journey through her performance.
Devon Braithwaite delivers the hero’s restraint, longing, and protectiveness with a grounded intensity that fits the character perfectly.
Together, they make the emotional weight of the story hit even harder, pulling you fully into both the past and present timelines.

Final Thoughts
Right Your Wrongs is emotional, complex, and beautifully written. It explores love that never truly fades, even when life takes everything in a different direction.
While I would have liked a bit more present-day relationship development, the depth of emotion, strong character work, and thoughtful handling of heavier themes make this a standout read.
If you enjoy angsty second-chance romances with real stakes, layered characters, and a love story that refuses to let go, this one is absolutely worth picking up.

Narration is in duet. Some parts from the male narrators wasn't good quality. Like some of it was re-recorded, spliced together and it's obvious.

Awesome Book - Horrible Narrator Editing

This audiobook pulled me in from the beginning and never let me go. My heart was in my throat for most of this book. K Steiner's writing was some of her best; the narrators made the story come alive; and the depth of these characters kept me captivated and addicted to the story.
I don't know if I've ever cheered as hard for a heroine as I did for Ariana. Second-chance romances are one of my favorites and Shane and Ariana fought against everything for theirs. The way in which Shane loved Ariana unconditionally, and the natural chemistry and connection between the two of them made them so easy to love. The surrounding support of the team and beloved characters we've met along the way was the cherry on top of this slow burn, suspenseful, emotional, and addictive story.
Hands down one of my TOP FAVORITES of 2026! I'm so sad this series is over but I can't wait for what's next to come from K Steiner! BRAVO!
