The absolute fuckery of genius.

this whole book was brutal, disgusting, and absolutely fantastic. I must say Amelia is the most obnoxious character I have read and applaud Jules restraint from murking her. however, I resonated with the afterword the most.

Extremely unsettling

Extremely unsettling! Julian and Emilia met in high school and Julian was immediately drawn to her. She’d sank her claws in deep and he refused to struggle against her grasp. Both come from very troubled backgrounds, but Emilia’s struggle is dark. Even leaving bodies in her wake, Julien cannot help but love her with his entire soul.

I read this book in its physical form a few weeks back, and really enjoyed it then. The addition of narration, however, has enhanced the story, and I feel like I was able to see things more clearly this time around. Maybe because I knew what was going to happen so I was able to go into it more critically, or whatever, but the voice actor really added an extra level of depth to a story already so incredibly layered! Phenomenal book, amazing voice, and amazingly immersive!

Grab your attention, dark!

If you are looking for a happy ending, you won't find it in this story. From the first chapter, I was hooked. I finished it in half a day. For a quick book, I couldn't put it down or turn it off. If you don't have any triggers, proceed to see if you can handle it!

Phenomenal

Michael Neeb NAILED this. The story is beautifully written and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Well done to author and narrator.
