Hot-headed. Stubborn. Absolutely no impulse control. That's who I am, according to my brothers and business partners. We run one of the top companies in the country, and we're growing fast. When I start interviewing for a key position, my brothers firmly advise me against hiring Kinley. Of course, I hire her anyway, and not just because she's insanely gorgeous.
She's hard-working, ambitious, and a perfect match. Unfortunately, she comes with baggage. Her ex framed her in an infamous corporate scandal. She was cleared in the court, yet the media was unforgiving.
But Kinley isn't the woman the headlines painted. She's not conniving. She's smart. She's not cold. She's careful. And she's not distant. She just won't allow anyone to get too close.
But that's all I want.
Despite my intention to stay away from her, I can't stop fantasizing about kissing her senseless and worshipping her body. Then, when we fly to Napa together to scout a new business, all my good intentions go up in smoke. Spending hours on end with her during the day is too much of a temptation. Sharing the same cabin at night is torture.
I'm tired of pretending I don't want her in my bed, and my life. More than that, I want to protect her from everyone who hurt her. I'll fight like hell not only to make her mine, but to earn her trust. Because once I have Kinley, I intend to keep her forever.

My goodness these two were sweet as pie. I loved how hard Wyatt fought for Kinley from the very start, it was so swoony. He fell so hard and so fast, and while this was technically a forbidden romance, it didn't have many tab boo vibes. These two were practically all in from the start with just a smidge of resistance.
I loved the setting of the winery too and I ADORED Sage. I'm sitting back and really hoping we get to see more of her next book because I'd love both her and the winery back in my life.
The audio was wonderful. I adore Connor Crais and Angelina Rocca both to pieces and together they brought these characters to life so perfectly. Thank you so much to Must Love Audio for the advanced copy!

🎧📚🎧 Connor Crais and Angelina Rocca were the perfect cast to bring the characters to life, giving each a voice that was fitting and believable in every role. Both embodied their characters completely, grasping every aspect of their personalities and demeanor, with Crais nailing it as Wyatt and Rocca as Kinley. They were fantastic performing the roles of all the side/secondary characters too. Their expressive performance conveyed all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling each one. These two make a great team, with voices and talent that complement each other and an entertaining performance that captivates your attention and keeps it hooked to the story the entire time.

For this book specifically there were some noticeable errors.
1) pretty sure the HR person is Magda, not Martha... at least it was in the prior 3 books. Author error or voice actors error?
2) Jeremy is written younger than his age is stated in the books. He is written to behave more like a 5 or 6 year old, not 10. Also he seems to be 10 in every book, so forever young? Not sure if they mentioned his age in this book.
3) City names in California are pronounced wrong. Not sure if this is due to the voice actors not researching in advance or if the editing team didn't actually listen to the recordings prior to publishing. Not a huge deal unless you're from California.
All that aside, this is still a decent series.
Good but...
