beautiful and so sweet

this was a very sweet story. she has been in love with him since she was like 12. he was a college hockey star, her dad was a professional hockey player and she was obsessed with hockey and also played. her dad ends up being the coach to the LA Vipers after he retires. Casey works for the Vipers in their marketing department. Kodie gets traded to the Vipers and he has a 7 year old daughter who is a lot like Casey when she was a kid. Sutton's mom isn't in the picture and Casey's mom died when she was a little older than Sutton so, besides their obsession with Hockey and idealization of their dads, they also have that in common. there is an age gap between Kodie and Casey but im not sure by how much. maybe it was in the begining of the book and I missed it but this is a longer book and I just didnt go searching for their ages. there isn't a 3rd act breakup up, but really a 2nd act breakup. it kind of made sense but also was annoying. but once they are back on, they are on. nothing was breaking them up again.

narrators were top notch. love the duet narration. this duo is amazing and you can't get much better. all of their voices were perfect. can't wait for the rest of the series. I do hope these narrators are the ones to do the whole series but something tells me they won't be. they would be great though. they have done whole series together before.

this is a must buy. the characters are great. No one is totally insufferable. there isn't some huge drama outside of what they make up in their own heads. this was a low angst book, minus their break up.

can't wait for the audiobooks for the rest of the series. Gonna have to read them now and listen again when they come out on Audible

Fantastic!

This was a book that I initially read and loved. The audio made it so much better. These two narrators are quickly becoming favorites. They both have fantastic ranges for multiple characters.

Seriously though... Madison as a sassy child? I laughed out loud at work more than once.

When fantasy becomes a reality

I loved this book when I read it but listening takes it to another level. Who wouldn't want to have one night with their dream man. The tension and banter between Kodi and Casey was hot. I love a story about forbidden love and the battle the characters face trying not to give in to the temptation. The added similarities to both Casey and her dad and Kodi and his daughter only added to the reasons why it was so hard to give in to their attraction. If you love hockey, sexy banter, tension and family dynamics can his is for you. The narrators did such a great job bring these characters to life.
