FMC who is realistic, fasting and smart

I love this book, fun characters you love, a strong, smart but fallible FMC. She has one big blind spot that we share with her for most of the journey. Cannot wait for book 2.

Bingeable, character-driven, and impossible to put down

Read this in one day, and I’ve loved everything this author has written.
Dark Sky is dragons + politics + intrigue + romance, but the heart of it is character. The world feels real without drowning you in lore. Pacing has a few slow moments, but they’re never pointless. The foreshadowing is layered enough that a reread is actually worth it.

Fair warning: the ending will make you immediately need Book 3.

Start with the novella (Royal wings) — it’s a great entry point and adds depth to the main series.

I read this on kindle first, so i was familiar with the story, but ellie’s narration was excellent and I have listened to it twice now!

Great dragon bonding and plot

The initial romantic partner was so visibly toxic from the start but the heroine overlooked and forgave all the treachery. She had a great support group including her dragon who all saw her worth. Ultimately her strength of character freed her from that bond. I hope she can mend her relationship with the Prince as that bond is a forever one.

Wow! Best book I’ve listened to in a long time

This book is probably the second I have ever rated five stars all across. This hit so hard, so much better than fourth wing! Love all of the characters, felt they all played their part well. I especially love the bond with her dragon! This book focused so much on her relationships with everyone in this book not just the love interest. It was perfect!!! Made my heart soar <3

This is a great start to the series!

I purchased this after reading the book. The audiobook is also great! This is a great series if you like great character building, slow burn, creatures (Dragons), and a fun and interesting plot. I can't wait to get the full series!
