Asher Corvin was a bouncer at the Dreamweaver, a man whose only job was keeping the trash away from the girls on stage. It was a simple gig until a pair of Wretched tore through the front doors and started killing everyone in the building. Including him.

But death was just the start of a long contract negotiation.

Now bound to the Demon Lord Maz’Goloth and reborn as a Hell Hunter of the Fifth Circle, Asher is back and thrust into a silent war between Heaven, Hell, and everything in between. There are no heroes, and there is no good or bad. All sides suck.

He is armed with a soul-bound greatsword and a heavy-caliber revolver that will make the task a little bit easier. But he doesn’t have to hold the line alone. From his partner, the sharp-tongued and dangerously beautiful hunter Aly, the mysterious Wiccan scholar Winter, and the silver-haired Seraph reject Iris, Asher is surrounded by powerful women out for some blood of their own.

To keep all his friends and new-found allies alive, he will first have to turn the Dreamweaver into a fortress by hunting, harvesting, and bartering his way to power. In a world where every shadow hides another way to die, Asher will do whatever it takes to protect what is his.

Overall not bad. Slightly above average hence the 3 star rating. Some all too common issues here for me to rate it any higher. The narration is great, I am familiar with other work from these two voice actors and they don't disappoint. Sadly the all too common issue of "special MC" that knows how to fight and is a tough guy, proceeds to get his face kicked in constantly. Someone that knows combat should know the basic rule of if you have a sword, don't stick it in the ground and leave it there while fighting. Then you have the primary support character, she is a higher rank and should be both stronger and more knowledgeable about the type of combat and world they opposite in, proceeds to immediately get her face kicked in and become useless because "the mc is special and has to save the day dammit!" and shenanigans along those lines which is poor writing in my opinion. If you read my whole review, thanks. All in all it's decent and not bad to fill the time and you might even like it more than me, but I can't rate it higher than a 3.

It's Decent
