Rest Easy in Kim Holdens World

Absolutely fantastic book!! I loved the characters, I loved their complexity. One of my favorite things about Kim’s books is the kindness and love all of her characters have. Whether they’re optimistic or pessimistic- they’re driven by love. The conversations between the women were life giving and life affirming. So thankful for this book and these characters I can relate to! I hope I’m as brave as Sophie some day

Rockstar heaven!

How is Eye for an I my first Kim Holden book?! Because now I’m completely hooked and already planning to dive into her backlist. 😍

This story had me smiling, laughing, and blushing all at once. The twists, the hidden identities, and the chemistry between Sophie and Ever kept me glued to my headphones from start to finish. These two were absolute perfection together. 🥹

And the audiobook? Incredible. Alex Kydd and Amelie Griffin brought so much heart, humor, and emotion to the story that I felt completely immersed in Sophie and Ever’s journey.

I LOVED this love story between not only a hot man and a hot women but a sister and a nephew, a women and herself, a fan and a band oh and even a band and a band!!! This book is exactly what we need in this world, people showing up for each other and encouraging each other along the way. Music to my ears. As the saying goes never meet your famous crush because they will let you down I am happy to know that is not always the case or is it 😉. Definitely recommend this book!!

Best Surprise Book Release!

I don’t quite know where to start with this.

When the author of the most impactful book I’ve ever read surprise releases a new story… I was speechless. Dumbstruck. Completely awestruck. The kind of moment that makes your entire day, your month, heck, even your year.

There’s just something about Kim Holden’s characters that feel so real. They’re deeply relatable, but it’s her female main characters especially that stay with me long after I finish. They have this warmth, this energy, quirky in a way that feels effortless and genuine, and I always come away thinking, God, what I would give for them to be my best friends. Sophie is no exception.

Amelie Griffin brings her to life beautifully. Sophie is instantly lovable, the kind of character who feels like she could walk right into your life and just belong there.

Alex Kydd takes on the multiple male roles, including the MC, Ever. His voice fits the rockstar persona in a way that really works for Ever’s character, and that element feels authentic.

What I loved most about this story is the journey. You think you know where it’s going, you settle in, your heart all soft and full, expecting certain turns, and then Kim gently reminds you… not yet. There’s no over-the-top angst, no unnecessary drama, no forced third-act breakup. Instead, she lets the story breathe. She lets the relationships build in a way that feels natural and meaningful.

It starts small, with just a few characters, and then slowly, beautifully, that circle expands. The sense of family, of found family, grows and deepens in a way that feels so genuine and heartwarming.

And then, towards the end....

Without giving anything away, if you’re a longtime reader of Kim Holden, the way she weaves in familiar characters is something I genuinely can’t put into words. These are characters I’ve loved for years, revisited countless times, and seeing them alongside this new cast was overwhelming in the best possible way. Nostalgic, emotional, and so, so full of joy.
I had a smile on my face the entire time I listened to this audiobook--and that is rare.
