Crossing a line has never felt this good.

I’m what you’d call a good girl—at least that’s what my family thinks. But I’m tired of living by everyone else’s rules. So when I sneak into a scandalous, masked costume party and spot Beau Walker—my longtime crush and my family’s sworn enemy—I do something bold: I cross the one line that's utterly forbidden.

Hidden by shadows and masks, we lose ourselves in the hottest night of my life. Until I accidentally moan his name, and everything comes crashing to a halt.

Beau says things I can’t forget, and my fantasy of him shatters along with my heart.

But when suspicious fires break out at the high school where I teach, I’m forced to see the one firefighter I wish I could forget.

And when our long-smoldering tension finally ignites, the heat between us lights up the sky—and reveals a danger neither of us saw coming.

Burning Skies is an enemies-to-lovers, forbidden romance that features a scorchingly hot firefighter and the little sister of his long-time nemesis. If you enjoy cowboy families, old vendettas, and small towns brimming with secrets, this one is for you!

I absolutely loved this book which adds perfectly into this series!!! Beau and Honey together? Completely obsessed. Though some of those side characters… yeah, I was ready to drop kick a few of them.

Honey and Beau were basically raised to hate each other because of a generations-old family feud (hello Romeo & Juliet vibes). But of course, fate had other plans. They unknowingly make out at a masked event, and the second Beau realizes who she is? Immediate end to whatever started.

Fast forward 7 years, Honey is now an English high school teacher, and Beau is part of the local firefighting squad. Thanks to a series of “accidents” at the school, Beau keeps showing up, forcing them into close proximity over and over again. And when that tension finally snaps… wow. Their relationship escalates fast, and it is SO good. The chemistry between them? Absolutely off the charts.

They go through a lot, but I loved how they stuck together and fought through everything as a team. That said, I do wish we got a bit more clarity on some of the subplots but I’m hoping those threads get picked up later in the series.

Overall, such a great read! And the audiobook? Next level. Savannah Peachwood and Stephen Dexter completely sold these characters. Stephen’s deep tone was perfect for Beau, and Savannah brought the sweetest, most genuine energy to Honey. I was hooked.

I found myself really enjoying this series! I always enjoy the small town ranch life, but this series throws in a dash or two of romantic suspense as well! Based on the Walker Brothers of which there are five and we are currently on book 3. This specific book runs parallels with the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, but put a HEA spin on it with added drama from the suspense part. From fires to pooping in stairwells, the grossness only enhanced my intrigue.

Honey the FMC a high school teacher and Beau a ranch hand who also works as a firefighter. Rival ranch families deal with not only the for mentioned suspense, but drama from exes, families. In life these two don’t assume everything will be handed to them and actually work to try to make things better…

I love both the main characters and the side characters. This is the type of series that brings you back into their family in every book in this series. It was a joy to read this love story, and I loved catching up with all the couples from the previous books and getting to know both the two brothers that have not had their book yet and the FMC Honey’s siblings as well. My only hope is that we get their books at some point…

A definite pick up series for those that like small town, suspense, light on the suspense. A one sitting light-hearted read that you will not regret!

‘To my readers who requested a hate bang”

What a fantastic addition to the series. Beau Walker and Honey McAllister come from rival ranches with a longstanding feud between them. However, Honey has always had a crush on Beau as a girl. After an awkward night during college, they go their separate ways. They are reunited when Honey is back in town and teaching English at the high school. The school where a series of suspicious incidents have the fire department making multiple calls to the school. With each encounter between them, the tension and chemistry is ramped up. A hate bang that hey insist will never happen again leads to sneaking around and eventually dating. Much to her family’s displeasure.

Narrated by Stephen Dexter and Savannah Peachwood and they brought this story to another level. Stephen was fantastic as the firefighter / rancher with the need to help everyone to his own detriment. He’s convinced she’s out of his league but will fight for them and keeps showing up for her. Savannah was incredible as the sassy, strong-willed teacher with a passion for ranching and determined to live life by her choices. Not by her fathers.

If you are a fan of Romeo and Juliet by way of a firefighting rancher and an animal loving teacher that stands by her man, without the tragic ending. Then this is for you. I love these fiercely protective and loyal Walker brothers and can’t wait for what’s next.

You had me at the dedication!

Enemies to lovers??? Sign me up!!! Beau and Honey… what can I say?!?! They are perfection. The way they transform their relationship from enemies to lovers was *chef kiss*. Love all the secrets, and how the secret is revealed to each side of the family… some hilarious and other not so funny… The Romeo & Juliet vibes was really good. I didn’t like her father through the whole story…. her siblings not so much at the beginning but that changed close to the end. The Walker boys are pretty awesome to be honest. It was a really good listening. This audiobook was so awesome. I really enjoyed it, the voices of Stephen and Savannah were amazing for this story. I love this series so much, can’t wait for the next one.

Beau and Honey

Beau is the 3rd sibling in the Walker family. He is a hot firefighter 😍🔥. Honey is a school teacher. Both characters had a moment when they were young but it didn't end well. There is a long time family feud between both family's. Even though this is the 3rd book in the series can be read as a standalone but characters from the previous two books are in here and their story are good too. Besides their on and off bantering and hookups, there is also an arsonist setting fires, an ex, a conniving father, feuding brothers, family, secrets and lies. I enjoyed this, especially towards the end when I had a hard time putting it down. I look forward to more of the Walker boys.

I enjoyed listening to this as much as I did when I read it. Love the Walker boys. The narrators did a good job, the only thing I wished the characters had the same voice in each chapter. I really liked Stephen's voice as Beau.
