WARDOGS ARE BORN TO DIE.

In the final days of the Demon Empire a lone wardog goes in search of the answer to the only question she cares about: Who murdered her mate?

Utterly unqualified to solve a mystery, Dogged Determination has but one advantage: She never, ever gives up.

From the heart of a massive empire to the deepest foreboding jungles, Dogged is an unstoppable force of will.

I loved the story and the narration was excellent! The way that Fletcher wrote the war dog, Dogged, was so cool. Just how I imagine my dog's inner dialogue lol. Highly recommend

Great Book!

Made it through Chapter 9, my main frustration with Dogged is that the narrative feels disjointed, contradictory, and unevenly paced. Scenes, ideas, and character motivations shift before they feel properly developed, so I often cannot tell whether something is intentional mystery or simple inconsistency. Major moments move too quickly to land, while less important sections slow the story down.

The main character is the biggest issue for me. I still do not have a clear sense of who she is, what he wants, or what consistently drives her besides revenge. Her behavior seems to change based on what each scene requires (revenge, being ordered etc. her S/O was just murdered that doesn't even feel like a driving motivation or a significant event by chapter 9) and the story does not provide enough internal logic to make those contradictions feel deliberate. I know later chapters may explain some of this, but by Chapter 9 the book has not given me enough confidence to trust that it will.

Bad but good performance
