Love the book, hate the narration

This book was great fast paced thriller. Will definitely read more of this author’s books. The narrator I wasn’t a fan of, she mispronounced numerous words and places throughout the book, and her voice didn’t change enough for the various characters.

Liked the story, but the narrator doesn’t do it justice.

There should be different voices for every character or at least a man for the male and female for the girls. You have to memorize the names right away or you’ll be lost. I had to restart so that I could keep up because it’s so fast-paced. I really couldn’t cheer for anyone… it’s truly a clusterfu*** hahaha

Narration is just off

All female narration. No voice change for any character or dialogue. Computer generated sounding pronunciations for “Notre Dame” “Chi town” and on and on. It wasn’t the worst ever but definitely enough to distract from the story.

Bad narrator

The story is good, kept me listening despite the poor narrator. The mispronounced words were super distracting. There is also an offputting background noise. Is she typing? Chewing gum? Either way it is annoying.

Hooked from the start (the second time….)

So I read that the author had originally had to use AI for the audiobook. More recently it was re-released being read by a real narrator. Honestly I had trouble the first time with AI, but I tried it again and it was amazing!!! If you have the older version, I had to return it and then redownload it for it to work. It really is worth the hype! It was a really exciting story, juicy, infuriating at times, and all together just a great read.
