I loved this book and the series. I love the flow of this story and how it kept my attention. I had a hard time putting the headphones down!

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Maggie Gallagher is a wonderfully layered protagonist — a lawyer, a mother, and a woman trying to hold her life together while the world around her spirals. When a client she just lost in court becomes the prime suspect in a high‑profile double murder, Maggie refuses to accept the easy answer.

The story unfolds with steady tension as Maggie uncovers secrets about the victims, the town, and the people pulling strings behind the scenes. The emotional stakes feel real, and the narrator brings Maggie’s strength and vulnerability to life beautifully. A thoughtful, engaging thriller that kept me listening.
