Colonel Blackwell is begrudgingly in charge of an Outpost that's been forgotten and nearly abandoned by the military leaders, a promotion that's a punishment. When an enemy Soldier is brought to him he knows what he should do, but this man is the only witness to an event from his past. One that started his slow spiral and got him there in the first place. Determined to get answers, they begin the process of testing each other and their commitment to Duty.

Slowly, the mysteries will unravel, secrets will be spilt and lines will be crossed.

Where does cooperation become a friendship? Where does the truth blur into madness?

When does a man become a monster, and if one of them can be loved and forgiven, can the other seek it too?

The premise of this story and the serum is very unique. The opposing factions and their hierarchy is very intriguing. I can say that as an avid reader this book has many elements that surprised me and made me interested. The narration is well done and the crazy voice of Ben was really well done!

As someone who is usually pretty good at predicting what’s going to happen next in a story, Black Gray White completely surprised me. From beginning to end, it kept me guessing and had me genuinely invested in every twist and turn. The writing was engaging, well-crafted, and flowed effortlessly, making it difficult to put down.

What impressed me most was how captivating the story was. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, the author took the story in a direction I never saw coming. It kept me on the edge of my seat and eager to turn the next page.

This is actually my very first book review, and I couldn’t have picked a better book to review. Black Gray White delivered everything I look for in a great read—strong writing, suspense, and a story that stays with you long after you’ve finished. If you’re looking for a book that will keep you engaged and constantly guessing, I highly recommend it. A well-deserved five stars!

Black Grey White delivers a deeply layered story that keeps you invested from beginning to end. The depth in the storytelling gives weight to the characters and their journey, making each moment feel meaningful and earned. The emotional development throughout the book builds naturally, pulling you deeper into the world and the choices the characters face.

The ending is undeniably sad, but it feels right for the story being told. Rather than forcing a perfect conclusion, it stays true to the emotional tone and themes built throughout the book, which makes the impact even stronger.

The narration was excellent and added another level to the experience, bringing emotion and atmosphere to key moments without overshadowing the story itself.

A memorable listen for those who enjoy stories with depth, emotion, and an ending that lingers long after the final chapter.

A fantastic story of humanity, wrapped in a mystery. D.A.C. wonderfully uses the mechanic of prisoner x interrogator to slowly endear the characters to the reader as they are drawn to each other. As a long time fan of 24, the tragic, broken hero with a dark past that pushes forward to do right by others and gain restitution was incredibly satisfying in Blackwell, and Ben's journey to become his own man was deeply gratifying. While this is definitely Not a Romance Novel, the romance storyline was deeply satisfying.
Laux's performance was inspired, bringing the different characters to life with expert sensitivity. I'm not sure I can survive how good this was. Maybe I have to go write fanfic about it now.

Wow! I really enjoyed this book. The story was fantastic, and that ending? THAT ENDING. I’ll say nothing more… just buckle your seatbelts, sweethearts. This is gonna be a bumpy ride.

And Tyler’s narration? Perfection, as always. His range was so good it genuinely felt like multiple narrators were voicing the cast. And Jo? My saucy little minx. She delivered a stellar performance that’s now permanently filed in my memory right next to Tyler’s. lol

Amazing job, everyone.
