The EMP took the lights and the Russians took Orlando… now Charlie is taking it back.

A year into the dark, the war for what's left of America is closing in on a single Florida city.

Spetsnaz forces hold the streets, propped up by traitors inside of our own government.

American troops and a hardened insurgent network are massing for a counterstrike that has to succeed the first time—because there won't be a second.

Charlie shouldn't even be alive; the bioengineered parasite the Russians cooked up was meant to kill her and every other resistance fighter. But she has every intention of being there when the assault begins with Mike and Cyn are at her side, while John is sent out into the chaos that they call Orlando to provide intelligence for the coming invasion.

From Sanford and its gangs to Umatilla, where they meet Morgan and the rest, Resurgence tells the tale of desperate patriots and what they're willing to do to bring their country back.

This is the next to the last chapter in the Charlie's Requiem saga—it's a boots-on-the-ground EMP thriller with authentic detail, real stakes, and characters worth following.

I love the sixth book and the series, can’t wait for the last book to come out never seems like it’s long enough still love the characters. Love the merge with going home series by angry American.

Good read! Definitely wished it was a little longer and more detailed but I will take what I can get!

Wonderful continuation of the story

Been a fan for a while and love A American’s books. This one was as good as the rest.

Good idea that would happen in Orlando.

Not a bad story, just unfortunate it's not been drawn to a conclusion. I wonder if it will suffer the same fate as the Going Home series, being abandoned without an end. Was an enjoyable listen, just don't expect an ending that's satisfying.

I never realized how much of a feminist the author is.

This was a great listen. There's a good mix of calm and excitement, well-developed characters that are easy to become invested in, and a premise that's fairly plausible -- at least compared to a lot of other books in the genre. It was also full of practical information on how to prepare for a grid-down scenario. Granted, the characters in this story are in a MUCH higher tax bracket than I will ever be and don't have to worry about cost when it comes to purchasing food, water, and other staples to have on hand, but there are still some very useful tips, such as buying a couple extra cans of soup or beans whenever you do your grocery shopping, or making sure to cover the supplies in the back of your car or truck with a tarp to prevent prying guys from seeing what you have and potentially targeting you when they run out of supplies, or unloading your supplies from your vehicle under the cover of darkness in order to keep your neighbors from seeing what you have, etc. If there's ever a sequel to this book, I'll certainly be interested in it.

Informative & Enjoyable
