Thrilling Adventure with Joy O'Farrell

I both read the book and listened to the audible. I love how Joy O'Farrell is a good cop and a bit of a mess personally. The backdrop of her "regular dysfunctional" life is refreshing. An easy read or an easy listen, it's a fun adventure and I can't wait to hear the next installment! The narration is high quality - loved listening and hearing different voices. Better than story time!

Determined female detective worth rooting for

I was the copyeditor for this book manuscript, but I was not involved in creating the audiobook version.

I enjoyed the grit and determination of the main character, Joy. She's tough and determined, but she does care about the few people she lets get close. This novel introduces us to Joy and her world, and it's a fun, action-packed ride.

The narration is well done. I enjoyed the different voices for the different characters. The pacing and emotion were nice too.
