The Drift Condition follows the city of Ashmere, where balance is maintained by mysterious rails of Hope and Luck beneath the streets. Strange events begin happening: a kettle boils only when it chooses, a talking stone appears, and even a coin hesitates before falling. As life becomes unnaturally certain and the city starts losing the unpredictability that keeps it alive, a king, a priest, a caretaker, and a stamp collector work together to restore balance.
