Romantic suspense

This was good. Not quite as good as the first one for me. The mmc was a bit too much of a playboy and he definitely played that up a bit and it was consistently brought up. I did like the suspense element, that was my favorite part, and I thought that plot line was excellent.

Shawn and Kara!!! Swoon!!!

Another unexpected gem!!! After hearing the end of Book 1 with Jason and Laurel, that small piece where Shawn and Kara met intrigued me! Boy, was I not disappointed!!! This fast pace book had me sprung the WHOLE time. Not only does it contain Jason and Laurel it also contains the Villian of the last story! Shawn was a man who wasn't shy about his feelings, made it known he wanted Kara. Kara is such a vibe with her sassy, total baddie self! As the plot thickens when they find out Frey who changed his name to Ryan Gurrick after taking Laurel is still alive! With danger at every turn, Kara and Shawn try to stay safe until they can't. At Shawn's work event, Gurrick's henchmen show us and Kara trying to save Laurel offers herself to be taken. Jokes on her, she was the target all along. Gurrick was even more of a Villian in this story and poor Kara suffers so much!! There was a lot of action and thankfully an HEA! I can't wait for the next book! This was SO GOOD!!! The plot was great, the spice was yummy and these characters were LIFE!!
