Ron Stanton sat in the first row of bleachers on the “home team” side of the high school where he served as an extraordinarily young principal at the age of 26. He was barely aware of the score as the high school basketball game progressed.

His attention was seized by the vision of a woman roughly his age, a woman he knew be on the staff of the visiting team’s faculty. She not only taught high school English at the visiting rival Glen Valley Schools, she was also the cheerleader adviser for their high school squad.

Cassie Langford had his attention.

But when Cassie was standing courtside when a referee passed, she gave a brief two word opinion about the calls they were making, and the shocked referee reported that to her principal who was also in attendance.

The officials told Cassie’s boss that if she would be willing to deal with the infraction, no formal action would be taken that could end up in Cassie losing her extracurricular positions.

But the option that Cassie was given was getting a memorable bottom warming in the office of the host principal: Ron Stanton!
And just what may develop as a result?
