For Wes, it was just another workday in the Acre of Gold mine, deep in the barren hills of Nevada. While digging for titanium sands, he uncovers an artifact from ancient times, and his workday takes a strange turn.
While a workmate is out hunting down the mine manager to report the find, Wes is caught in a cave-in that dumps him into a chamber deep underground.
What he finds there saves him from an untimely demise, but at what cost?

When rescue finally arrives, it's by the robot minions of the massive international conglomerate that had been trying to take over the mine for years.
Wes is slightly confused, but glad someone came to save him.
The robot’s boss, having already cashed in the life insurance policy on Wes, is not exactly thrilled to see him still alive and kicking, not when that will negatively impact his quarterly profits.
Luckily, the man has robots on hand to deal with that… little issue.
During the ensuing fight, Wes discovers a power over metal he did not have before. He manages to emerge from the mine alive and make good his escape.

Wes finds himself in a world changed by a recent mysterious event, and wonders abound.
But for Wes, all of that will have to wait.
A certain corporate CEO activated the rat-bastard-must-pay protocol, and he’s got a whole can of whup-ass ready to go for that robot Puppetmaster bastard!
