Hank Gilstrap was a miserable country boy living in the city with dreams of escaping to a world away from the noise and people. When opportunity presents itself, Hank appropriates a bag full of cash discovered in the course of doing his job as a telephone man. Hank locates a property in southern Arkansas far from the lights of Chicago and moves to a failed prepper homestead where he thrives becoming a prepper in the process. Hank meets Sady who is a master gardener in the course of looking for advice on how to revitalize his newly acquired property. The two quickly become inseparable filling a void in each other’s lives. With his newfound partner, Hank and Sady rejuvenate the homestead and complete the half-finished shelter as their insurance against an uncertain world. Hank has a UFO encounter early one morning while hunting, finding out later that sightings have occurred across the United States. When an anonymous person comes forward with a treasure trove of information, the world learns how much the United States government has been deceiving them. The information disclosure leads to unrest which foments those in insider positions to launch a devastating nuclear attack in an attempt to cleanse the world of evil.
