Adair Finch is the most powerful warlock in the world; but can he defeat a time god like Aeon, Father of the Zodiac?

Long ago, Finch made a pact with Chronos, the Titan of Time. In exchange for the ability to rewind time up to 24 hours, Finch agreed to safeguard Chronos’s newest child — whenever Chronos decided to have one. That day has come. Finch must protect the time god egg, keeping it out of the hands of random bounty hunters, werewolves, vampires, assassins, and even Aeon, a rival time god.

To lay low until the egg hatches, Finch heads to Tahoe City. A local woman called his PI firm in the hopes he could find her missing son, and Finch believes it’s the perfect distraction while he waits for the egg to hatch. Unfortunately, Tahoe is already plagued by magical problems. And to make matters worse, Aeon knows whenever Finch rewinds time, allowing the time god to track all of Finch’s moves…

Can't hardly wait for the next installment. Loved the playful romance. Always stratches that time loop itch

I loved, loved the latest installment of this magical detective series with a side of buddy comedy. It once again had a layered storyline, witty dialogue, an intriguing problem to solve, surprising plot twists, and suspense. I was equally desperate to read it all at once to solve the latest issue but also to make it last. Adair Finch is the most powerful warlock in the world. When his brother died, he retired from PI work and stopped living his life but now he’s rejoined the world including opening a new detective agency. Chronos has tasked Funch with guarding his god egg until it hatches. This of course complicates his life when a bounty hunter comes after him. Going out of town to help locate a missing child seems the perfect way to keep the egg safe. Of course, in Finch’s world nothing is ever easy. The interactions and juxtaposition between grumpy put upon Adair, vibrant and innocent Kull, and angry protective Enzo again was such an integral and fantastic part of this story. The character arcs for all of three of these characters both in this book as well as for the entire series is so well done. I cannot say enough about how much I loved this story, these characters and this series. I need more of these characters in my life and hopefully soon after that ending.

Annie Ellicot, Jeff Hayes, Ryan H Reid, and Gary Furlong did a phenomenal job narrating the stories and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly. Soundbooth Theater really has the best narrations.

These books are consistently great. Once again, Soundbooth knocks it out of the park, and Shami gives us another fun story in the same vein as the others in this series. I can't help but feel like the stakes are a little lower in this book, despite the fact that they should be at an all time high, story wise. But, it doesn't really dampen my enjoyment of this book, and given the way this one ends I am looking forward to the next one.

Consistently Great

As always, SoundBooth did a fantastic job with narration. I love the characters in this series. Great emotional development, nice action sequences, unique pantheon building, and the blend of personalities and lifestyles for the trio are super fun to observe.

Another great story
