The Crash is a chronological transcript of the publicly released text-message records between Dominic Russo and Mackenzie Shirilla, covering 12 January 2020 to 30 July 2022. Compiled from digital evidence records and arranged from oldest to newest, this book allows readers to follow the conversation as it unfolded over time.

The messages are reproduced as faithfully as possible, preserving original spelling, punctuation, slang, profanity, abbreviations, emotional tone, timestamps, reactions, attachments, and entries with no recoverable text content.

This is not a retelling built from rumour, commentary, or speculation. It is a document-based transcript designed to make the available records easier to read, search, and understand.

At the centre of this case are the deaths of Dominic Russo and Davion Flanagan, two young men whose lives and families deserve to be treated with care. This book does not seek to sensationalise their deaths. Instead, it is organised to support closer reading of the records and to encourage more serious conversations about teen dating abuse, emotional volatility, coercive control, dependency, escalation, and warning signs that are too often dismissed as drama or normal teenage conflict.

Public records can never tell the whole story. But when placed in order, they can help readers see patterns, context, and moments that may otherwise be missed.

This edition contains the text-message transcript only. Emergency calls, interviews, police calls, medical calls, and other audio or video records are not included in this volume.
