An exploration into the depths of obsession, revenge, and the heart—traversing the darkest regions of the universe and mind, where memory lives beyond death, and love is the most dangerous force of all.

“To even comprehend it, you have to abandon the comfort of known physics. You have to reach into the unknown, into the void itself, and hope some semblance of humanity survives.”—Orion Night

In astrophysics, anything dark is simply unknown. When you dedicate more than your career to the relentless pursuit of such all-consuming forces, you become something of the essence you cannot explain.

Hidden. Unknown. Warped.

The darkness behind stars.

Until she entered Stonehurst University, I had no idea how close I was to the edge—always one reckless heartbeat away from stepping off the cliff. To quiet the intrusive chaos in my head, I need the danger, the rush.

Now I need her.

Nothing has ever felt more dangerous.

Especially when my fire sign is keeping her own deadly secrets in this misty, academic harbor.

Yet with one forbidden touch, my willpower to fight this force goes up in flames. It’s fucking written in the stars. From the moment Collins entered my orbit, there was one thing I understood unequivocally:

She was mine.

And I will let nothing—not even the dark tide rising within me—eclipse her beautiful light.

I really enjoy this author. there is a lot of intense psychological and other science in this. it seems like it should be hard to follow but it isn't really. the love story is one of obsession and insta love. neither is real stable but I love them for each other. Great narration. I think having Lucy rivers narrate this kind of threw me. she did the hollows row series so I kept forgetting I wasn't listening to that. I wish there was a different female narrator for that reason. Connor crais was perfect for Orion. I cant get enough. highly recommend.

great book

Astronomy x Criminology x Psychology = A wonderfully odd, suspenseful tale of murder, revenge, brokenness, and love. In a world where books can sometimes seem formulaic or cookie-cutter, I found this to be a happy surprise -- an "anomaly", if you will (ifykyk)! I love science of all kinds (chemist in my former life) incl sciences of nature, space, human biology & behavior, forensics, etc. so I found this totally fascinating! Trisha Wolfe is a new author for me, but I will be eagerly awaiting the next book as THIS ONE ENDS WITH A CLIFFHANGER! (Ugh! I hate waiting! I didn't realize it had a cliffhanger. I just dove in when I saw Connor Crais was narrating!😍 But I'm certainly not sorry.) As for the narration, it was "stellar"! Star terminology/pun intended. I loved the Duet narration by Connor and Lucy Rivers. Their acting was wonderful 🫶 -- top tier all the way! I really enjoyed the audio. I finished in 2 sessions. One thing I will say, is if things seem confusing, please stick with it. A lot of things become clearer towards the end of the book. Enjoy! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🥰 P.S. You might want to get the ebook, too. There is a link in there at the end to a bonus scene and some character art. 🫶

Fascinating & Twisty! Out of this world DUET narr.

The only thing good about this book was Connor Crais narrating. Some parts of the story I felt lost or confused. It was like a few chapters were missing. I just could not connect with the story. I thought it was so drawn out. It could’ve easily been condensed.

Boring and too long
