Halle is rather proud of her nickname, Halle “Intensity” Peters. Forever focused on her studies, she is one acceptance letter away from her Ivy League dream school, and she couldn’t care less about dating or prom—top priorities for her best friend, Sofia. Halle was really hoping that after Sofia’s dramatic breakup with River “Scumbag” Walsh, she would have come around to a truth Halle learned long ago: men don’t stick around.

But when college rejections start rolling in, Halle’s dream becomes a living nightmare. Desperate to escape it all, she agrees to join Sofia on a backcountry ski trip at a nearby national park.
