A Fantasy Adventure

A predictable but nice mix of academy life, humor and fantasy adventure narrated at an easy pace. I liked how the main character grew while building friendships and navigating the unexpected challenges that came with life at the academy. The story sets up the series well and leaves plenty of mystery to keep you interested in what happens next.

Long But Interesting

Even though this is a long audiobook, this is a good listen. The main character has to learn to use there skills and realize he matters to other people.

I didn’t expect to get pulled in this fast, but this audiobook hooked me from the first chapter. Marcus’s journey from an ordinary freshman to a Class‑Five Amplifier is intense, and the way his power affects everyone around him adds a fresh twist to the magical academy genre. The world‑building is deep without being confusing, and the political tension with the Department of Magical Affairs gives the story real stakes.
