An engineer finds himself in an alternate reality, Cornwall, in the year 715 A.D. He awakens in the body of a young Baron.
A retired Lieutenant General, former head of the Army Corp of Engineers, lies dying at the age of ninety-two. Leading a full life, he is a decorated veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.
After a long illness, he lies dying. His last thought is, "What a waste of such wonderful knowledge."
As he fades to black, the fun begins. He is to build a modern civilization without being burned as a witch!
The series continues with the Barony of Owen-nap being attacked from all sides.

Chapter 18 does not match book
Seems like Chapter 18 at 50 seconds in switches back to Chapter 16 6 minutes in. After that the audio book seems all over the place. Chapter 19 has the start of chapter 18, and chapter 20 is halfway through chapter 18 in the book. This all can make it very jarring when listening to. Besides that issue, the story is pretty good.
I hope they will be able to fix this. When this is fixed I'll update this review.

Unsure what's up with the other reviews. this good
While there is a bug and it repeats a portion of one of the chapters it's easy to just hit the Skip and go to the next section.
Very much looking forward to the next book I really like Ed Nelson work.

The story is really good, though dry.
The only issue I have with the audible recording is a mistake in chapter 18. The last handful of minutes in chapter 18 is the beginning of chapter 18. Just annoying to fast forward through.
