About this listen

Nothing they do can fix me. I'm beyond repair.

Life at Bainbridge Hall is everything I feared it would be, yet these bastards have me in a chokehold. With each passing day, I struggle with my growing affection for them. The lines I drew in the beginning have begun to blur.

I should've left… back before feelings were involved.

From the moment I met them, I was intrigued, but nothing about our situation is simple. Every time they touch me, another broken piece is mended. And now, everything I want is wrapped up in three unruly men.

One troubled brawler. One damaged heart. And one bleeding soul.

Bear. Duke. Mason.

The closer we become, the more I want to lean on their strength. But I can't possibly burden them with the past that haunts me—even if they believe repairing my shattered pieces will make us whole.

Bainbridge Hall. They may not be the villains of my nightmares, but they are definitely the bastards of my dreams.

Bear is the second book in the Bastards of Bainbridge Hall trilogy, centering around three men and one woman. For mature listeners.

Love Bear

Still getting used to Lee Samuels narrating but he is growing on me. Although all the guys having chapters, we learn more about Bear. From football to illegal fighting, to his relationship with her father, Duke and Mason. But we also see the shift in his relationship with Lennon. She becomes the glue that connects them all. I don't want to spoil it but book two is not only loaded with things being revealed giving more information, it is HOT as HELL, Leila outdid herself we also get mentions of Cannon, Asher, Kingston and Elliott. That cliffhanger damnnnn.

Okay. Not emotionally attached to anyone.

I really want to like this series but I frankly just don't really like any of the characters. I'm curious about the background plot as far as what happened to Lennon and Juliet but I just can't get into this series. The narration is well done and there's plenty of spicy but it just feels so empty to me because I am not emotionally connected to any of them. It's a bunch of rich boys with daddy issues that are kind of shitty half the time. I feel bad for Lennon but I also find her kind of annoying. I feel like the spicy scenes half the time just are there so it has enough spice but doesn't really add to the story. I loved the first series but struggling to get into this one. I'll finish out the last book just so I know what happens but I guess dark romances just aren't my jam.
