About this listen

Conway Barsetti doesn't want me to be a model anymore. He wants to keep me all to himself. I inspire him in ways no one else does.

Now I'm living with him in his beautiful mansion, and I don't feel like a prisoner anymore. I'm free to do what I want, with some limitations. But he treats me so coldly, seeing me as an object rather than a person.

His family comes by for lunch and he tells me to stay in my room so they won't see me. But I have a better idea. I'll make them believe I'm his girlfriend, that we live together, and we're in love. Unless he treats me better, I'll tell his parents and sister what our arrangement really is.

And humiliate him.

Conway & Sapphire

*****Spoiler Alert*****

Audible review. Dual POV. Lingerie Series Book 2 of 15. Although the book takes place in Italy and the male lead is Italian the narration is read in entirely an American accent. Trigger warnings: human trafficking

Sapphire gets jealous when she sees lipstick on Conway's neck, he tells her he can do whatever he wants, Conway sends Sapphire to her room while his family visits, Sapphire joins them and lies telling them they're in a relationship, Sapphire wants to change the rules, Conway agrees to try. Vanessa visits with Sapphire, Conway and Sapphire meet Vanessa at a club, Sapphire meets Cane, Conway lets Sapphire ride his stallion (Carbine). Conway meets Carter at his club, Carter tries to get Conway to hook up with a woman, Conway goes home to Sapphire. Andrew wants to hire Sapphire. Conway, Carter, Vanessa and Sapphire go to see Conway's parents. Andrew offers Sapphire $200 million to work for him. JP

WOOP.. WOOP.. WOOPIE - DRAMA BARSETTI STYLE

I cannot tell you how happy I was to learn of the impending release of book 2 in the addictive Lingerie series - and on my birthday too.. yay.. happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy.. well you get my drift.. I was one happy happy bunny. And Penelope Sky didn’t disappoint.. in fact she surpassed - the push/pull volatile relationship between Conway and his bought Muse continues, the intense chemistry between the pair continues, the passion and the hot pleasure continues.. and the emotional rollercoaster world that Sapphire has been thrust into definitely and defiantly continues. However, walls are crumbling, boundaries are being realigned, harsh demands are being replaced by tender sentiments, the balance of power is shifting, f’ing is being replaced by lovemaking, parents are being met, respect understanding and consideration are being given and there’s finally some kind of hard won ceasefire in the Barsetti mansion. But, that peace and tranquility isn’t going to last long because this favorite author of mine likes to throw in wrenches, grenades and tsunamis that change everything.

I had absolutely no shame while binge-listening to this awesome dual POV story.. after all it was my birthday and, if I wanted to spend the day riveted to a book, then surely I should.. could.. and would. Oh I still checked (every so often) that my other half, my nearest and dearest and my not so little wee ones all still had a pulse and were happy while I ghosted through my special day. Conway was a drool-sigh and gasp worthy alpha and perfect Sapphire was a kitten with claws. Their’s is not a love story yet.. but somewhere between this and book 4 it will become one. Meanwhile the slow-burn, the out of control possessiveness by Conway and Sapphire, the blurring of lines, the repositioning of power and the restructuring of their characters has left me in awe of Ms. Sky’s writing abilities. And it was nice to be reintroduced to Buttons and Crow (aka Conway’s loving mum and dad) as they feature in a few chapters. So bottom line - I loved it, I can’t wait for the next two books in Conway and Sapphire’s story to become available and I look forward to Vanessa and Carter’s stories after that. Great narration too.

Worth a credit? Well duh folks.. that’s a shout it from the rooftops YES.

Better than the first

This book is much better than the first book in this series. If you can get through the first book, then definitely give this one a shot. I recommend it.

Much Better!

This Audible book in this series was much better with narration. It followed the book almost flawlessly. The first one was horrible (Buttons and Revenge).

Not what I expected

I struggled to finish, is very repetitive, they keep going in circles no surprises or great loving history.

Here we go again

Not only a cliff hanger, but a middle of the story hanger. I wish they would just put these type of stories into one book, or sell them as a package. There is nothing more infuriating than being in the middle of a story and a having it cut off. Now the first two have done that, shall I guess about the rest? So I have to decide if I’m willing to invest in all the other books in the series to find out how the story ends. That’s quite a investment. I don’t think I can stay interested the six months it would take to get that many credits. So many books, so few waking hours you know. It’s a good story, but I would pass until they put them all together.

It's a decent ok series but I'm not impressed :(

The author is fantastic but the author is very repetitive in her stories and it becomes the same thing done over again and nothing really stands out or keeps me really interested with the series unfortunately:(
