About this listen

Since she was a little girl, Emma Grant has always loved romance. So it's really no surprise that she has found her calling as a wedding florist at Vows. She gets to play with flowers every day and work with her three best friends in the process. She couldn't ask for a better job....

And on the surface, Emma's love life seems to be thriving. Slim and sultry, she brings color into every room she enters, just like the arrangements she creates. Though men swarm around her, she still hasn't found Mr. Right. And the last place she's looking is right under her nose.

But that's just where Jack Cooke is. He's so close to the women of Vows that he's practically family. But the architect has begun to admit to himself that his feelings for Emma have developed into much more than friendship. And when Emma returns his passion - kiss for blistering kiss - things start to get complicated at Vows.

Jack has never been big on commitment, though, while Emma yearns for a lifelong love affair. If the two are to find common ground, they must trust in their history - and in their hearts.

Bed of Roses (Unabridged)

I really enjoyed the author's narration. She changed voices/tones appropriately, and she made me laugh out loud during her rendition of this story. Thank you.

Vows is where I would have liked my wedding

It is just comforting when you get to the end of the first book to know that you still had three more to go before the story ends.

Loved the series.

I hope you survived the narrator of the first book and got this one. If you want to do the series, read book one and listen to others. Just a fun, girly, series.

One of my top favorite series

I love this series. I originally read the books, then bought the disks and now use the audible app. The narrator is very good and has variations in her voice for the different characters. I have listened and re-listened to this whole series mutiple times over the years.

It's A Series

This is the second in a series of 3. A light story about the life of 4 friends, nothing to serious. The performance could make
it a little more interesting, but she does the voices of the women very well. It's not a must read by any stretch.

A solid book 2

Bed of Roses is the second book in the Bride Quartet series. Emma has always had a crush on Jack. He always wanted her. She always wanted the HEA, which goes against his phobia of commitment. They are friends to lovers, but Jack and Emma had to work through those differences before getting their HEA. The chemistry was good, and this wasn’t a closed door romance. The plot was solid. I enjoyed the story.

Favorite Story of the Quartet-No Spoilers

There are various parts of each of the quartet stories that I like but as a whole-an entire project if you will-Emma and Jack's story is my favorite. Which is kind of weird because Parker is my favorite character of the lot. Anyway, the whole quartet as a story idea is pretty neat and makes for nice fun reading. It's good if you just want to relax and laugh and have an all around good read without expecting it to be terribly deep. If you're looking for more deep or mystery related Nora Roberts these aren't the ones to read. If however, you want something enjoyable, different, and arguably with a bit of fluff then give the quartet a shot.

Also, I have listened to other books narrated by Angela Dawe. That lady is talented and has a knack for changing character voices without flaw. I find myself now looking for books narrated by Dawe. She's that good...in my opinion. Too bad she didn't narrate the entire quartet series but 3 out of 4 is still pretty good.
