Beautiful story
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. A stunning character piece about a mother and daughter, generational trauma, cultural context, and familial bonds. I loved that this book didn’t seem to follow the classic tropes I’ve come to know in similar-styled fiction. I was engaged the whole time and enjoyed some surprising plot developments along the way. I personally loved the audiobook performance—an Asian story being read by an Asian voice. We love to see representation! Highly recommend!

A fantastic story with great characters and unexpected turns
A fascinating story of family, secrets, betrayal and forgiveness. It’s well written and pulls you into not one, but two time periods. I thought I’d listen to a chapter a day but ended up finishing it in three days. I can’t wait to see what else the author writes.
