Publisher's summary
Can two hearts blend together for a lifelong love?
His mother’s final illness waylaid Sam Price’s college dreams, but he’s content working in his family’s vineyard in the Finger Lakes region of New York. When he finds a woman with a flat tire on a vineyard road, he’s stunned to discover it’s the girl he’d had a crush on in high school. He’d never been confident enough to ask her out back then. He’d been a farm kid. Her daddy was the bank president. Way out of his league.
Sherry Jones is tired of her parents' ambitious plans for her life. She’ll finish her college accounting degree like they want, but how can she tell them about her real love: working with growing things? Then, a flat tire and a neglected garden offer her an unexpected opportunity, with the added bonus of a tall, gorgeous guy with eyes that set her senses tingling.
What does a guy with dirt under his nails and calluses on his hands have to offer a woman like Sherry? It will take courage for her to defy her parents and claim her own dreams.
Sam and Sherry’s lives took different paths, but a winding vineyard road has brought them back together. Are they willing to take a chance to create the perfect blend for a lifelong love?

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Story
Romance can be a little complicated when you get sucked into a wormhole. Just ask high school English teacher June Flint. One little solar flare happens and suddenly you find yourself 85 years in the future. Eighty-five years from your dream job. Your ailing mother whose only companion in this world is you. Your favorite stuffed-crust pizza from DeLucia’s on Sunday nights. But when June’s cell phone inexplicably picks up a signal, she’s able to call back to the present—more specifically, four weeks before she accidentally time traveled.

Sweet beginning...
I think this could have been longer, should have been. The story had so much more to offer. That being said, I'm SO GLAD there are more books! I'm looking forward to the next one. I listened to the audiobook version and Lisa is one of the best narrators I've had the pleasure of listening to. The nuances of her voice bring the characters to life and make them believable.

Awesome “origin story” for the series!
I have started listening to the next book in the series and Ms. Race did a great job with world building and developing character arcs in Blends.
Narration enhanced my experience with great pacing and little added details that supported the story.

Short, Sweet And Loving
Lisa Beacom did a good job narrating this simply sweet romance between two who went to highschool together, but though attracted to each other, kept missing opportunities because of social fears. Sam runs his father's winery. Sherry wants to work with plants and flowers instead of becoming a CPA. Short, sweet and loving story re: how they come together.

enjoyable
A cute short romance with the typical misunderstandings and quick resolution. I found the couple likable and relatable. I enjoyed it. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.
