Publisher's summary

“I love you,” she said. “I’ve never been surer of anything in my entire life.”

The Dumont Island Boarding House is located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and is only accessible by car ferry. Most roads on the island are gravel, though the main road that travels down the middle of the island is paved. There are conveniences such as a general store, post office, souvenir shops, café, and a post office on the island, as well as a few cottages spaced along the amazing coastline. The boarding house sits on the far side of the island, with limited resources including electricity supplied only by generator for a brief time during the early evening hours, with gasoline lanterns used at night. Everyone knows each other on the island and they all like to take care of each other as a community of neighbors.

Mark has lived on the island his entire life. He is deeply committed to his community, helping all the visitors and residents off and onto the island. There is nothing he would change about his situation, except maybe having a loving partner by his side. Lanie seems like the perfect fit for him as they grow closer, but the arrival of some unwanted guests may halt their romance before it can even get off the ground.

Lanie has a thirst to help others and is beginning to find her footing in a nonprofit organization across the lake from Dumont Island. Unfortunately, her decision to move in that direction is not one her entire family is on board with. Lanie has a big heart and a desire to do the right in everything she tries. While attempting to respect her family and their need to carry on the family business, she is torn by a heart-driven desire to help others. When both her worlds collide, she might lose her only chance at happiness.

Will this couple connect in a way that supports their love as well as their devotion to family and the community?

The Dumont Island Board House series is based upon Romans 12:12-16 (NIV). "Practice Hospitality," is the fifth book in this seven-book series. Download this clean romance book that will make you feel good about yourself and the world around you.
