Publisher's summary

Matilda Geoffrey risked it all for love. She left Australia to be with Barry - the man who had swept her off her virtual feet. Now, wearing a wedding dress, she's alone on Main Street in small-town Wisconsin, and things aren't working out exactly as planned.…

In town for his annual family visit, Marc Olsen had never seen a bride quite like Matilda - staring into a storefront window, holding a tottering wedding cake, and looking desperately in need of a groom. He may not have any warm feelings for his hometown, but meeting Matilda just as she discovers she's been scammed by her online "fiancé" stirs something in him.

Matilda is not the kind of woman Marc imagined himself with, and Marc is anything but the romantic hero that Matilda has always dreamed of. But as unlikely circumstances throw them together, can they let go of their misconceptions and risk their hearts for love?

Lighthearted romance

Boomerang Bride was an enjoyable, lighthearted read. If anything, its biggest flaw was that it was really predictable, without many twists and turns. So this may not be the best option for people who need a really big arc to the story. But it does include a very likable cast of characters, a couple of really good sub-plots, and some really good laughs.

Fun light listen!

What made the experience of listening to Boomerang Bride the most enjoyable?

A fun and sometimes very funny romance tha gave me the kind of escapism I was looking for.

Which scene was your favorite?

Couldn't pick just one. Several make me smile even now as I think about them.

Any additional comments?

I've been trying to branch out and try some authors I'm not familiar with. This is one where I can say I have found an author I will look for again.

easy listen

I really enjoyed this. easy romance. fun characters. I did sometimes have to back up because I would confuse Laurie and matilda's stories but that was an easy fix, basically I should have been listening closer

Great Listen!

Delightful story that had me smiling and laughing out loud. I was so emotionally attached, at one point, uncharacteristically, I shed a few tears with the main character.
The narrator did a great job; the Australian accent was believable.

A Pure Delight

This audible book was a marvelous find - like finding the best piece in a box of chocolates. The writing style was elegant, but very funny at times. The characters had substance and were so well developed that one beings to care about them quickly. Tess Masters gave a fantastic narration. Her Aussie accent was just strong enough without being overblown. Her rate of speech and voice tone was perfect. This is one of the best romance novels that I've listened to in some time. - on par with Molly Harper.

Love this book.

Well written. However this Wisconsinite has to let you know that Manitowoc and Brat we're pronounced incorrectly. Also it was hard to tell where this place is ... Wausau and Manitowoc are hours apart. But the storyline was heartwarming and so something I could imagine happening in my fine state. Including a young man wanting to escape a small town life, only to realize that it was a great place to raise kids, especially in the summer. Since Spotted Cow is a WI favorite beer, I have to ask if there really is a Spotted Cow bar in eastern WI? I will definitely be reading (or listening to) more books by Fiona Lowe in the near future!

Narrators accent rocked!

Story was a bit immaturely written, and I hate how the writers forget eye color from the beginning of the story. But it was a fun read.

charming

cute story, really enjoyed it! Mispronounced manitowoc and put emphasis on "green" in green bay. as a wisconsinite, I was surprised how this was hard to get past! anyone not familiar with Wis will like it start to finish. :)

Great Romance

This is a delightful contemporary romance which aren't so easy to find in my opinion. The character's are well drawn and the story is deeper than most. The reader is excellent. Highly recommended to romancelovers.
