Publisher's summary

For nearly three and a half centuries, the Boylan House has stood at the end of Meeting House Road. And something in that house has been killing boys for centuries.

The town of Monson is a quaint and quiet New England town. Yet the house is terrifying and has been for as long as anyone can remember. Adults put the thing out of mind and ignore the fears of their children, admonishing them to stay away.

Too many boys have vanished into the swamps behind the house. Bodies never recovered. Nothing ever recovered. The families are left with their memories and the disturbing thought that the Boylan House had something to do with it.

Mason Philips knows better than that. He knows that there's something in the house. Something evil. Something hunting children from time to time.

And Mason has decided that it's time for the killing to stop.

Wonderful

I have bought several of the books written by Ron. They are fantastic I love horror but some of them are to bloody. But his are different they are freaky without having to do that. The narrator is really awesome here too. His voice is very relaxing and makes this book a pleasure to listen to.

INSANELY GOOD

Omg Omg Omg OMFG!!!! First, I thought it was Misha Collins from Supernatural under an alias narrating but it wasn't which in my opinion makes this Thom Bowers really awesome! Second, this story was insane!!! I was barely in to the 1st or 2nd chapter before checking to see if Stephen King had actually wrote this!! It's been a few hours over and I'm STILL thinking about it. The detail was just....well..I'm not a man and wouldn't know how painful the dangly bits can get but I was cringing right along with them. That said be prepared for some material that can be very sensitive though that part isn't very detailed (thank god) but parts are pretty R rated with the gore. I will certainly give big supposedly "abandoned" houses another look after this book.

Fast paced creepy tale!

This trilogy will keep you listening start to finish. The narrator does a wonderful job voicing the Boylan spirit as well as the rest of the characters. The author delivers a tale with a history stretching back 100's of years and multiple locations. Be ready to have that creepy house From your childhood Halloween memories come back to haunt you. Suspenseful and chilling

A very suspenseful and chilling tale perfect for Halloween listening. Loved the narrator, I've listened to other books read by him and they are always enjoyable. Very highly recommend this title if you are looking for something spooky.

Excellent even the second time

So I should start off by saying I had already read this when it first came out but couldn't resist when they put out the audio version.
They being said the narrator was perfect this story. I found myself switching from my car to my headphones so I could continue listening. The story itself sucks you in within the first chapter and leaves you wishing there was another book at the end

Original

Any additional comments?

In this day and age it's pretty difficult to write an original "ghost" story - they all seem to bleed together somehow. But 'The Boylan House Trilogy' truly was a unique take on a haunted house, a ghostly entity and a spooky local, historical story. While I felt that some parts were a bit of a stretch, I thought that overall, it was a fun listen. I would recommend this book to ghost-story-lovers!

Excellent scary house story when kids explored

I used to love exploring old farm houses as a kid but never had I dreamed a house could be this BAD! Scary, scary and the voices used by the narrator will haunt your sole!
