Beautiful story!

I am a huge fan of Chelle Bliss and the Open Road series and this new addition is just what I needed. Crow is a character that you meet in the Men of Inked Heatwave series and I have always wanted him to get his own book and HEA. This book is the story of two people who have been beaten down by life and are struggling to make their way and start over, and they find each other at just the right time. Chelle Bliss writes beautiful stories about people who are often stereotyped and as a result get a bad rap - motorcycle clubs, ex-convicts, single mothers, blue collar workers. She takes these stereotypes and returns their humanity and examines them as whole people with emotions, and struggles, and connections that are not always afforded them at first glance. Taking the big, intimidating, bearded, tattooed, motorcycle club member and showing him as a good father, a good protector and provider, and a thoughtful and kind partner really makes her books stand out and not follow a typical trope or formula. Her characters are likable, relatable, and with just enough realism to make them someone you want to root for and need them to reach their happily ever after.

Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor are a frequent pairing on Chelle Bliss audiobooks and I couldn't be happier. They are both incredible actors in their own right and together they are a powerhouse of narration that I could listen to all day, every day.

If you haven't read Chelle Bliss books before, you can certainly listen to this as a stand-alone, but you will love seeing the characters from previous books and series show up in all of her books that brings a familiarity and consistency that lifts them all to the next level. I highly recommend starting at the Men of Inked series and reading them ALL!

I love these types of stories

Favorite part is when she says stuffed grey sweatpants lol. Another good book. I love these stories when the men fall mad deeply in love with Women and their children. This one reminds me of a buff tattooed Prince Charming. The ending left me in suspense. I can’t wait till the next book.

A Beautifully Heartfelt & Amazing Story & Listen🎧 Love this Series!

Chelle Bliss pens another beauty of a novel set in her “Open Road” series and I loved everything about it, from her wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. You can feel how much heart she put into this story as the emotions pour off the pages and straight into your own heart. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about too. Logan “Crow” Taylor finished serving the prison sentence that changed the path of his life and he needs to find a new one now that he is free. He is getting a feel for what he wants to do career wise and his brothers and sisters in the Disciples M.C. are there to help and support him. Bridget “Birdie” Connor, a single mom, struggles to make ends meet and has had some health issues which is effecting her employment. When she takes a fall in her home, her young daughter, Mia, runs outside to get help and Crow, who was out jogging, is the one who hears her frantic calls. Crow was amazing with Mia, who was absolutely adorable, and while he has not had the best of luck with helping people, he still came thru for Mia and her mother and then some. This book is about two people broken in their own ways, whose pieces fit together perfectly. I thought they were great together and for each other, the chemistry between them was smoking too. This wonderfully plotted story had the perfect balance of drama, a touch of angst, some heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions, and a slow burn, but oh so worth the wait, romance. Chelle Bliss, thank you for another amazing novel and emotional rollercoaster ride. It is always a pleasure to get lost in the stories and world you create, definitely escapism at its best.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor are fabulously talented narrators and versatile voice artists. Their portrayal of these characters is spot on and they have a complete understanding of their personas, give each a voice that suits them completely and are believable in every role they play. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they project all the characters’ emotions and project them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

Crow and Birdie

I love that we get to see how Crow has changed in the seven years that had to spend behind bars. He is still trying to deal with being free and trying to figure out if he is worthy because of what happened in his past. Birdie is a single mom to Mia and is trying to make sure that Mia has the best life possible. Birdie suffers from migraines and this causes her to fall one day. Mia runs to the road to get help and Crow just happens to be the one who finds Mia and helps Birdie.
These two have issues of their own that need to be resolved and they work with each other to make things better for each other.
I have loved Chelle's books and this one is another great book and I can't wait to read the rest of this series.

Amazing

Jason and Samantha make a great couple for audible books. They really brought Broken Wings to life. And Jason can be in my head all day every day.
And to top it off, they read Chelle’s story. Who doesn’t love the stories that she pins to paper? Two broken hearts that became one. Awesome work!!

Amazing story & even better narration!!

The Open Road series by Chelle Bliss is one of my absolute favorite motorcycle club series'. These men are such tough, manly men and I love witnessing them being brought to their knees by the women they love. They might try to fight it or deny it but once they succumb to the inevitable, it's a beautiful thing to watch! Logan is freshly released from prison and is determined to stay away from any trouble. While out for a run, he literally runs right to it! He runs into a frantic little girl who needs help. Bridget took a tumble down the stairs and is in a state. Mia is the little girl, she's Bridget's daughter. They've been having a hard time of late and it's just the two of them. Logan can't help but feel the need to help put. He's drawn to them both. So while he helps Bridget get to her feet, his friends become her friends, and Mia's friends.

As friends start an entanglement, so do feelings. Feelings are getting all mixed up. Logan is particularly wary of his past prison situation. He doesn't want Bridget to know. He's not the only one struggling, Bridget is a mess and unsure if she can handle more in her life right now. These two can't fight this beautiful slowburn attraction. They develop a great friendship and really depend on each other. Can they put aside their fears and have a lasting, real relationship or will their fears keep them apart? The narration of this audiobook was amazing. Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor play the damage characters beautifully.
