Explosive

What a wonderfully written story. This blend of suspense, danger and sinful delight of romance between Wells and Ivy was explosive. It is heartbreaking yet able build up strength of each character and the plot. I loved it and cannot wait for the next one!

Edited to add:
I forgot to mention that Sean Masters and Mollie Stark did a fantastic job capturing the nuances and emotions of the characters. Not to mention the deep timber of Wells voice was enthralling. Even the banter between them flowed so well it almost felt like i was watching a movie.

Burning Ivy, or so they thought

This is my first audiobook I have listened to from this author. Duo voice actors to portray Ivy and Wells. Wells was after Ivy, thinking she doesn’t know of him. Well little did he know that she knew of him and sought him out. But she doesn’t realized Wells was also surrounded by loyal friends 3 other men that felt just as protective of her. Someone or persons are after Ivy and the people she loves. Will she be able to stop them? This was a sit slow but the ending was pulse throbbing.

Mystery and Suspense

Ivy has to marry in order to receive her inheritance. A chance encounter with the mysterious Wells ends with them being engaged. She’s quickly accepted into his found family, but everyone’s been hiding big things from her.

Ivy was so strong! I mean, she knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it. But when her whole life was practically thrown and smashed, making her question EVERYTHING?? Wow. I just. The way she was able to handle that was amazing.

This book is packed with mystery and suspense. I had no idea this was a debut novel, but I really enjoyed it.

Ivy must marry at 23 to receive her inheritance. Why was such an archaic stipulation put in place when she was raised to be nothing short of a badass? Having her “head in the clouds“ is exactly what she needs to piece together this baffling conundrum. Well, that & the four men she finds herself living with after she literally runs into a potential marriage prospect.

You can tell that much love went into writing this story with its intricate & well-thought-out plot. Mollie Stark & Sean Masters did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life in this duet narration. So if your reading format is audio, you don’t want to sleep on this one!

The amount of times I pressed paused to question & theorize was too many to count lol. Burning Ivy is filled with suspense & secrets that slowly unravel as the story progresses. The way this made me love found family as a trope. There wasn’t a character in this close-knit group that I disliked.

This was a crazy good debut & the first installment in the KORT series!!

Holy twists and turns! If you are looking for an audiobook full of spice, action, mystery and amazing narration - 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝘃𝘆 is your book!

Burning Ivy was an absolute page turner, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! In addition to all of the twists and secrets there was amazing spice, banter and wit.
I honestly don’t know how to describe the plot without giving too much away, but if you like mafia/secret society, a strong & fierce FMC, a protective & dominant MMC and a found family that will give you all of the “warm fuzzies” then you will love Ivy and Wells story. 🖤

The narration was fantastic! This was my first time listening to Mollie Stark and she brought Ivy’s fierceness and her vulnerability to life perfectly. Sean Masters’ deep and commanding voice made him the perfect Wells. But he also did a great job bringing all of the other MMCs to life, they all have big and unique personalities and Sean gave them each their own distinct voice. 🎧

I am still blown away that this is your debut novel, Brandy 🤯
I’m looking forward to Liam and Celeste’s story ♥️

Normally I am more into the male narrator because we tend to focus on the MMC. This book is more from Ivy’s experience. All of Ivy’s sass and brattiness in the beginning were perfectly done. Her emotions were well played, the anger, the sadness, the fear and grief. Wells’s voice was also strong. The doubts, the anger and jealousy were well done.

This story was a roller coaster ride of action, romance and suspense. Ivy had to marry to get her independence and inheritance. She proposed to Wells- a perfect stranger- who surprisingly agreed. From that point on, Ivy life becomes something she never expected. She goes from a fun loving normal heiress to a badash woman that will literally burn down the world. Trained to protect and defend with death if necessary.
Wells has a secret agenda. He was a stranger to Ivy but he knows her well. He has been watching her for years. He is protective, possessive and will do anything for Ivy.

Wells comes with a group of guys that make Ivy their own. They become her family and love her. They will go to the ends of earth for her.


The story is very fast paced. Secrets are revealed, lives are in jeopardy and when Ivy comes into her own, the world wasn’t ready. She rose up from the fire and scorched the earth.

Strong characters, good plot and plenty of action and emotion.

New narrators to me

Narrators were new to me, have never heard of them. I think they did a great job delivering the different scenes laid out in the book which was unique in itself. I thought Ivy was an unique character as well who at times was underestimated. I loved how her father raised her to use what the world would deem a weakness as her greatest strength. Wells he was a character liked and hated. I much would have preferred her to been paired with Ty. But she was drawn to Wells and they worked.

What a impressive book! I wasn't expecting the twists and turn. And the spiciness was very perfect. I enjoyed it! Was tough to take a break from it. Basically didn't want to put it down!

AMAZING!!!🤩

Absolutely amazing, I was hooked from the very beginning. I was not prepared for all the twists and turns I would go on and even I felt like I was losing my mind like Ivy. The narrators did a fantastic job of bringing this story to life and it added to everything going on. It was almost as if I was living it too. I am living for Ivy and her new era that she was thrusted into. It was a lot to accept and she was handling it like the queen she is. Wells and the rest of the guys were amazing, they had their moments where they were enemies #1 but they did everything for Ivy. I literally love all of them and Liam and Gavin are favorites. Seeing all their relationships develop was fun to watch because they each were different and were developed per each of their personalities and common interests.

If you love a good mafia book then this one will be the right one for you! Ivy & Wells story was amazing they were a match made in heaven! The way the story was written it left you guessing what was going to happen next! Oh and the spice that was in this was on point as well! I would definitely recommend this audiobook who is looking for a great audiobook!

Mollie Stark & Sean Masters did a really good job playing Ivy & Wells they knew how to give the angst and the sincerity of the story as well!
