Quick snowed in RH!

This quick and enjoyable RH read followed Lacey as she visits her mountain cabin on a short trip with her abusive boyfriend Wyatt against her better judgment. She knows she needs to get out and be done with the bad relationships that seem to plague her, but she’s been actively trying to avoid the men she really wants—her fallen brother’s soldier “brothers” that still remain loyal and protective of her even after his death. When things seem like they are about to really fall apart, will any of her heroes be able to rescue her in time? If they can make it through this situation, can she tell them what her heart really wants?

*The only things that kept this from being a five star read for me were the narration and wishing there was more showing elements to the story and less dialogue at times. It’s still a solid 4 star read!*

Light and Fluffy

This story is a great listen if you are looking for something to relax and listen to. This story left me wanting more. I really wish this story had been developed a little bit more but for something quick and easy listening that isn’t all smut this one may just be what you are looking for.

Loved the book

It made me feel like I was watching a movie and that I was there while listening to this book.
But I didn't care for the person reading the book.

Poor narration, but fun, short erotica

I had to listen at 1.20x to make the pauses seem believable. This was a short, erotica novel set in a snowed in cabin. Fun way to spend a few hours.

Nice RH

Thank you to the author for gifting me this story. I enjoyed it. It was a nice shorter RH story. I liked the characters and their relationship. The only comment would be it does with some serious issues like domestic abuse, PTSD and depression.

Sweet read

This was my first read if Amber Winters and I was not disappointed. At first I wasn’t sure how the characters were going to all fit together but once the story got underway you could feel the love they all shared for Lacey. You could feel the internal struggle Lacey had when trying to determine how she was going to escape her abusive boyfriend and you could feel the internal struggle of the four men who wanted to keep their word to their fallen friend and Laceys brother. The characters were relatable and the narrators voice brought the characters what was needed to tell the story.

I look forward to reading more by this author.

Debut book

This was a solid debut standalone book by this author.

The RH genre is particularly hard to write because the writer has to make the harem make sense, bring the reader/listener into their world, make sure each character is developed for the reader and make the story have meaning and (in my opinion) a nice no loose ends ending if the book is a standalone.

The plot is solid enough but I think it would have been more exciting if the murder / potential murder was more thought out. Also the story would have benefited if there was more character development. Perhaps more story on the groups past history together would have made their current bond feel more tangible. I wish there was at the least an epilogue. The group talks about having a family so it would have been really cool to hear about how their lives continued like opening a family restaurant since one of the guys was going to pastry chef school. Just something that gives you the warm and fuzzies.

The narrator also did a pretty good job. Narrators for RH have a super difficult job making sure their voice reflects each member of the harems personalities and voices. This narrators voice was pleasant to listen to but struggled with making the male voices different.

My favorite part of this book is how well the author shows you the different points of view from each character. The sex scenes were described in the male perspective and that was really cool. I wish more authors would do that as most RH is through the eyes of the MFC.

All in all this was a quick enjoyable listen and I can’t wait to see what this new author has coming next!

Well narrated! Entertaining story for an evening

Lacey is in an abusive relationship. She finally makes up her mind leaving Wyatt but they are on the way to the family getaway. She is rescued by her brothers friends at the marine. The marines had made up their mind but they don't know that they are all in love. Loved how things are working out for Lacey.

Four hot men race to save the woman they love from abusive man only to get stranded feelings surface and one horn night that could become their future.
